Apply to Live on Campus

College is an exciting time for students, but it can also be stressful navigating all of the new processes and procedures. At Auburn University Housing, our goal is to provide prospective residents with an easy-to-navigate application process, so you have one less thing to worry about as you prepare for this new chapter.

Living on campus is a part of the collegiate experience and provides students with the opportunity to meet lifelong friends, as well as have close access to a variety of campus resources. Auburn University Housing’s residence halls are home to about 4,650 students. While living on campus is not required or guaranteed to first-year students, our goal is to accommodate as many first-time freshman students who wish to Live Life On.

Because of the high volume of applications submitted, applicants selecting their bed space during the room selection period may be placed on standby status if there are no beds available to select during their room selection time slot. Standby status indicates that all spaces are currently filled with students that have selected their room. If on-campus housing fills, and as space becomes available, students may log in at any time after their room selection begins to select a bed space that has opened as a result of a cancellation.

Students who apply for housing and later change their minds about living on campus or attending Auburn are encouraged to cancel their housing application in a timely manner to enable us to make housing assignments to applicants on standby status. Cancellation dates are different depending on when a student selects or receives a room assignment. Students are unable to cancel their housing contract after their cancellation deadline if they are enrolled in classes.
